Who isn't obsessed with 13 Reasons Why these days? The new Netflix series that Selena Gomez executive produced has been all the buzz lately, and some of your fave celebs are huge fans.
Little Mix star Perrie Edwards and Fifth Harmony gal Lauren Jauregui, in particular, have spoken out about how touched they were by the series – which stars Dylan Minnette and Katherine Langford.
"I just watched the new Netflix series '13 Reasons Why' and it was one of the hardest things to watch. The way they got the message across was amazing, and although i found it upsetting and massively disturbing I feel like every person going to school/high school should watch it. Bullying is a disgusting thing that young people have to go through on a daily basis. If you or anyone you know is being bullied please don't sit back and stay mute. Do something about it. Life is too short and there is always someone you can talk to. We can stop bullying if we stick together and show love and support to one another," Perrie said in a paragraph she posted to the Little Mix Twitter account.

Lauren loved the message too. In fact, she read the book a number of years ago and was super pumped to finally watch it.
"#13reasonswhy is lit. I read this book in 7th grade and it was my favorite for a while..so exciting to watch it☺," she wrote.

It is so heartwarming to see the amazing support the show is getting, and it is pretty crazy to think that the show could've actually been totally different. Yep, that's right. There was actually an alternate ending to the book that couldn't changed everything. Author Jay Asher revealed that in the original ending, Hannah survived.
“I liked the idea of ‘We’ve learned something from this. And yet, here’s a second chance,'” Jay said in an interview. "Knowing as well that it was going to be difficult when Hannah went back to school to have to deal with those kids. It’s not like everything’s smooth now. In fact, it might be even tenser for her. But now there’s Clay, who’s going to be upfront that he’s there for her.”
So why did get ultimately change his mind? He thought the message would resonate with people more without the positive spin.
"Out of seriousness for the issue, we realized we can’t go there,” he went on to say. “No matter that there were missed opportunities for her. Those opportunities aren’t there if you do this. Once I realized that the message of the story would be stronger and that it would definitely be more of a cautionary tale. I felt that was definitely the way to go. That’s why Skye’s character made a reappearance, which was cool to see her have a bigger role throughout the TV series."
