Nick Jonas, who recently reunited with his ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez at an MTV Video Music Awards after party, might still be inspired by his former flame. Nick just dropped a new track called "Area Code" and the lyrics make a pretty overt reference to one of Selener's most popular songs.
Nick sings, "You say I never been good for you / You can't deny I gave it good to you."
Is that a reference to Selena's hit song "Good For You?" It kinda, sorta sounds like it!
So what exactly does this mean for Nilena? Are they possibly starting up again, rekindling their teenage romance from their Disney days back in 2008? Or did Selena have absolutely no idea that Nick was planning on writing about her?
According to a source from HollywoodLife.com, Selena was oblivious to the former Jonas Brother using her as his lyrical muse.
"Selena isn't too disheartened," the source revealed. "In fact, she thinks it's fair game... It's the creative right of an artist, and Selena understands that better than anyone."
Since the "Good For You" singer has drawn real-life inspiration for her lyrics from her longtime relationship with her "heartbroken" ex Justin Bieber, it's clear she understands that artists write about their relationships. Although we have to admit, since Nilena broke up SO long ago, it's pretty surprising that Nick penned a line for her. Unless of course, they're getting back together?
