M Exclusive!: Becky G On How To Stay Humble, Achieve Your Dreams & Beat Writer's Block!

It's no secret we love Becky G here at M, and part of why she's so cool is because she's wise beyond her 16 years. She's a lot of fun, but she's also super mature, very grounded and has a lot of great advice to give to everyone and anyone. Here are the biggest life lessons we learned from Becky G!

You've achieved so much and you're only 16! What advice do you have for others who are struggling to make a dream come true? You'll go through a lot of "nos" to get through to that one "yes." You need to mentally prepare yourself for those "nos" and also for the hard work that comes after the "yes!" It's also really important to surround yourself with good people.

What do you do when you get writer's block? Oh man, I get it a lot! I'm at the studio Monday through Saturday, Monday through Friday most of the time, and it can be frustrating when you're stuck on a rhyme or a lyric or song. When I'm really stuck I'll go on Twitter and do maybe half an hour of "Ask Becky G" time. Sometimes I'll just eat! Or I'll start a conversation or eavesdrop on other people for inspiration. But the best advice: You have to live life to write about life. You have to have fun! It takes patience. If you're too hard on yourself, it's never gonna turn out the way you want it to.

How do you stay humble when you have fans following your every move? My family plays a big factor. They give me a sense of normality -- I still have to do chores! I can't leave my house if I don't clean my room and do laundry, and I still get grounded. I think it's because I came from humble upbringings, but I plan on never getting a big head. I told my friends and family that if I ever start acting like a diva, it's okay to give me a little slap and knock my sense back into me!
