You're used to see Bella Thorne in so many TV shows and movies but now, you get to hear her voice in a whole new way. She stars in the action-adventure animated film, Ratchet & Clank, which comes out today in theaters, and brings the legendary video game of the same name onto the big screen in a mega-fun way. In the movie, Bella plays Cora, a member of the Galactic Rangers who is smart, competitive and kicks some serious butt! When we caught up with the actress, she told us how she was so pumped she would be able to totally be herself in this role, which isn't something that always happens.
"Usually I get I play very different characters and with animation, you sometimes play someone who is much younger, [and you have to use] a much younger voice which is hard because my voice is so low," Bella exclusively said to M. "But this role was super easy because I was told I could use my actual voice, since she's older and this cool, tough character."
So not only did Bella not have to worry about changing up her lovely voice and the tone of it, but she really got to challenge herself in a new way, since working on an animated movie can often times be harder than actually filming in person for an all live-action movie.
"It all depends on what type of animation you're doing. If you're doing live action animation, then you are literally bringing that character to life. And in what I'm doing in this movie, the character was already made so I'm just stepping into her shoes," Bella explained to us. "It's very different and it's harder in the fact if that you're not good at mimicking voices and moving your mouth while other people talk, meaning the characters, it won't be as easy. Timing has to be perfect and that can be so hard. It's definitely a challenge."
Bella is such a pro and her skill-set is always so impressive. She manages to not only have a busy schedule working on so many multiple projects but still takes the time to hang out with her family and friends, something she said isn't always the easiest thing to do.
"Honestly I just find time [for everything]. Right now is actually the most time I've had off in the longest time I can remember but I just really love working," she said. "If you really want to see certain people, or do certain things you'll just make time for what you think is important."
Now that is the right attitude to have!
