Cameron Dallas' first-ever series is set to hit Netflix very soon and many people might be wondering exactly how Cam snagged a spot on the streaming site. The social media star turned actor explained in a new interview with Variety that he simply just willed this show into existence. Seriously, he thought it, believed it, and then made it happen for himself.
Cameron explained that a year ago, he sat down to write out a list in what he calls his "goals notebook", and one of those dreams he wrote was to have his own show on Neflix. At first, the network passed on his idea but he just couldn't let it go.
"I really want Netflix," Cameron told the production company he's working with. "Just get me a meeting with them and I’ll pitch them in person. We got the show."
How amazing is that?! He literally just wouldn't give up in himself and convinced the lovely people over sat Netflix why they should pick up his show, which he's currently in the middle of filming right now. He then went on to explain that branching out from simply jut being a social media king has always been the plan, and is something he will continue to strive toward.
"I’m an entrepreneur. I'm always going to try to cross over. I don’t want to hop right into it and leave social media behind. I love social media, too. I kind of want to do everything," Cameron explained.
Now that is something truly to be proud of!
