Big news about Disney Junior's new The Lion King spinoff series The Lion Guard! Not only will James Earl Jones reprise his role as Mufasa, but Disney also announced Gabrielle Union and Rob Lowe have been tapped to voice Nala and Simba respectively.
Other actors contributing their voices to The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar include Ernie Sabella, who will reprise his beloved role as Pumbaa, Sarah Hyland, Joshua Rush who previously worked on Netflix's Puss in Boots, and Diamond White from The X-Factor. Max Charles will voice Simba and Nala's second-born cub Kion, around whom the series revolves.
The Lion Guard follows the adventures of Kion, who has just accepted a leadership position within the Lion Guard, a team of animals who work together to preserve their native land, Pride Rock. With the help of his buddies, Bunga (a honeybadger), Ono (an egret), Fuli (a cheetah), and Beshte (a hippo), Kion will do his best to protect and preserve the Pride Lands in the most heroic and humble way possible.
