Dove Cameron is head over heels in love with her new boyfriend Thomas Doherty, and although she said she wants to keep major details of their relationship under wraps, she can't help but gush about her boy.
These two met while filming Descendants 2 and after taking the time to get to know each other and build a solid friendship, they eventually realized they were meant to be more than just friends and their long-distance love story began. Dove has just revealed another hilarious secret about their romance and her mom Bonnie Wallace is involved in it, so you know this is going to be a good one.
The starlet took to Twitter to reveal that she affectionately reefers to her BF as Tommy, but since she calls her mom Mommy, sometimes things get a big mixed up when she's texting them both.
i call my boyfriend "tommy" & my mother "mommy" & they are the #1 & #2 people i text & things get weird when i read misread my notifications— Dove Cameron (@DoveCameron) March 28, 2017

LOL, this is just too good! Imagine reading a text from your mom and thinking it was from your boyfriend, and vice versa? Could get a tad bit confusing! But at least Dove has a sense of humor about the whole situation. This isn't the first time she's let the world in some hilarious secrets about the Tove relationship, not too long ago confirming she saves every voice memo and message Thomas leaves her.

Since Thomas lives in Scotland and is filming his Disney Channel series The Lodge in London while Dove is working in Los Angeles and New York City, they often have to get creative when they're not physically together in the same time zone to keep in touch, something Dove briefly spoke about.
"It’s not too bad, we are both working and we are busy humans. It’s nice. We can chunk out visiting, and you work out the time difference. When I’m waking up, he’s going to sleep, and it’s nice. It’s not too bad. We make an effort. It’s interesting, things like that make you make an effort," she explained.
We have a feeling these two are in it for the long-haul. And the fact that they have a movie coming out together means eventually, they'll be spending loads of time together, promoting the DCOM and maybe just watching it. Who wouldn't want to watch memories from when you first met someone who means so much to you now? Kind of magical when you think about it.
