#TBT to the days when we considered (but really just kind of laughed at) the possibility of Tarzan, Elsa, and Anna all being related thanks to a fan-drawn theory that pointed out parallels between Frozen and Tarzan. Why are we throwing it back to those "theory" days? Because it turns out the Elsa, Anna, Tarzan connection is ACTUALLY TRUE.
In a new interview, Chris Buck — co-director of Frozen — confirmed what everyone has been wondering since "Let It Go" first hit the charts in 2013.
"When you're working on a feature, you have a lot of time to think about stuff because it takes four years to make one," he said.
"I think Jen [Lee] and I were walking to a meeting, and I just start to tell her the entire story," he admitted.
Confession: Our jaws are quite literally on the floor right now. Like seriously. We can't even believe this conspiracy theory is true. (But like, we can, because it makes all the sense!) It's just mind-blowing how much time, energy, and effort the directors of Disney movies put into a film in order to make connections with previous Disney films.
Sure, it's all in good fun when someone points out an eerie comparison on Tumblr, but the second Chris Buck admits he thought about it all along, it becomes a shocking reality.
