Mitchel Musso is back with a hilarious new movie, Characterz, which tells the story of the epic adventures a group of amusement park workers get into. Oh, and they just so happen to be the ones who wear the over-the-top mascot costumes! That's right you're going to find out what it's really like under the mask, and of course you can expect tons of laughs from Mitchel and his co-stars, something the actor exclusively told us is kind of his specialty.
"Yeah, I do a lot of physical comedy, ever since I was little. It’s always been throwing myself off the beach railing in front of Rico’s shack [in Hannah Montana] to getting in that chicken costume in Hatching Pete, flying across the gymnasium, you know, ‘Mitchel, throw yourself over here and it’ll be funny!’ So, I’m used to it, of course I love it," Mitchel said to M. "It’s almost like stunts, but it’s not like action stunts, you know, you’re landing on a big pad, it’s all safe, everything is safe. But yeah, physical comedy, it’s something that I’ve always done."
In the movie, Mitchel gets to wear a giant kangaroo costume, which he really is no stranger to. Any fans of the DCOM Hatching Pete would know he once wore an elaborate chicken costume in that movie. And this is something he admitted he never actually thought he would do again.
"No, I never thought I’d be back in costume like that, no, I did not," Mitchel told M. "The movie presented itself to me and it just sounded awesome and who doesn’t want to be in Florida and Orlando and it was just a really, really awesome director, and like I said, I was able to hire my family, my little brother. So that just made it all worth even more work, getting in the kangaroo suit. So I said, 'Yeah, I’ll do it!'"
So there we have it, this is how Mitchel once again found himself dressed as a giant animal. Casual.
