Hey M girls!
Last week, M was the ONLY teen mag invited to have lunch with Olympic figure skater Sasha Cohen in NYC and we had a total blast talking to her!
When we sat down with Sasha, she spilled how she's been preparing for Nationals (which take place in January), and the upcoming February Olympics in Vancouver, while recovering from an injury in her right calf. Even though her injury has prevented her from competing at recent events, she's confident she'll be ready for the Olympics in a few months -- phew! Here's Intern Kelsey interviewing Sasha:
Sasha told us that earning 1 of only 2 spots to the Olympic team in January would be a "huge dream come true" and she's working hard every day to get there. She even showed off some of her moves in this awesome routine -- check out this exclusive vid of Sasha showing her moves:
Nationals are being held Jan. 21 and 23, so make sure to get ready to root for Sasha! And even though we're a few months away, Sasha definitely can't wait for the Olympics. "I'm so excited," she tells M. "It's wonderful to have an Olympics in North America where people at home can watch live. Just to go to three Olympics would be incredible!"
Let's dish: -Are you excited for the winter Olympics? What's your fave winter sport? Will you root for Sasha?
XOXO, M Intern Kelsey
