Hey M Girls!
We have a BRAND NEW spin on the daily advice column on mmm-mag.com. Each day at 8:00 PM/EST we'll post a reader question and have our M Girl answer it!! Today, we're talking how to make the best of group projects in school!!
M Reader lillizzie3 asked: I don't like working in partners or groups for school because every time I do, I do poorly on the project. Is it just me? Or do other people not like working in groups either? Also, how can I be a better partner?
And M Girl's answer is: "Some people work better in groups and others work better individually - so, it's not just you! Unfortunately, we can't control what projects teachers have in store for us - but we can control the effort we put into it. Try to listen to your other partners and look at it as a chance to put more than one idea together - there are more brains than just one in the group (Psst! Which means a great chance to make the project awesome!) Also, some people don't love working in groups because they're shy. But the more you work in groups, the faster you'll get over your shyness. And don't forget that there are definitely other people in your group who would rather work alone. But since you can't, then why not make the best of it? Give it a shot! You may love group work afterall!
