Hey M Girls!
We have a BRAND NEW spin on the daily advice column on mmm-mag.com. Each day at 8:00 PM/EST we'll post a reader question and have our M Girl answer it!! Today, we're talking getting teased for having good grades!!
M Reader laurath13 asked:
I get good grades in school but I get teased for it all the time -- it really bugs me! Should I hide my grades?
And M Girl's answer is:
"You should never be ashamed of who you are! Sometimes kids tease because they're jealous of how well others are doing at the moment. So don't let them make you feel down about doing well in school -- I'm sure they wish they had your grades and wouldn't hide them! Be proud of who you are because you deserve it and you work hard for it! Sooner or later the other kids will grow up and learn that what they're doing isn't very nice. In the meantime, try to ignore their teasing. And if it get really bad, tell a parent or teacher about it! Keep getting those awesome grades -- the hard work will pay off in no time!"
