Hey M Girls!
We have a BRAND NEW spin on the daily advice column on mmm-mag.com. Each day at 8:00 PM/EST we'll post a reader question and have our M Girl answer it!! Today, we're talking major friend drama!!
M Reader taylorl_luva567 asked: There's a girl at school who won't stop being mean to me. She's always saying bad things about me to my face and won't stop spreading rumors about me. She has even taken away my BFF -- and now my BFF is being mean, too! I feel so alone and without friends. I have no idea what to do. Can you help me?
And M Girl's answer is: "The first thing to know is that bullies tend to act mean towards other people because they have something else in their lives that is bothering them -- so, there's nothing wrong with you! You could try to tell this 'mean girl' that she's hurting your feelings. Or, you could try to ignore her (lots of times they bully just to get a reaction out of you). Keep in mind that it's a good idea to tell a parent, teacher, or any adult you feel you can talk to. Most importantly, don't get down on yourself about it because it's not your fault -- no one is worth your tears! Check back with me and let me know how you're doing -- I'd love to help in any way that I can!"
