Hey M Girls!
We have a BRAND NEW spin on the daily advice column on mmm-mag.com. Each day at 8:00 PM/EST we'll post a reader question and have our M Girl answer it!! Today, we're talking being to nervous to talk to your group of girlfriends!!
M Reader LOLHey asked: I'm really shy around my own friends. I just stand there and listen whenever they're all talking. I want to give my 2 cents, but I don't know what to say. What should I do?
And M Girl's answer is: "I totally understand where you're coming from -- I used the have the exact same problem. I used to feel nervous about what I would say. And when I did talk within the group, I felt like no one was listening to me. But as I grew older, I learned to work through my insecurities and I started to feel more comfortable in my own skin. And that's when I started becoming more and more outgoing. So that's the key. You need to build your self-confidence level and feel more secure about yourself. After that, nothing else will seem like a huge deal -- and you'll totally feel comfortable enough to say exactly what you think in front of your friends. Just know that they love you for who you are, so don't be afraid to be yourself!"
