Hey M Girls!
We have a BRAND NEW spin on the daily advice column on mmm-mag.com. Each day at 8:00 PM/EST we'll post a reader question and have our M Girl answer it!! Today, we're talking having a hard time making friends -- and keeping them!!
M Reader rachray33 asked:
My friends are always hanging out at the mall and having sleep-overs and NOT inviting me! Yet at school, they act like my best friends ever! I've tried talking to them but it doesn't work. I've also invited them to my house tons of times to make it better, but nothing works. I also try to make new friends, but this is the 4th school I've been to and people already have friends from past years. I'm feeling so left out. How do i cheer up?
And M Girl's answer is:
"It's definitely hard to move around to new schools and try to make friends all over again. But you just need time to find that special group of BFFs you can't live without! I'd definitely try to talk to your girlfriends about leaving you out when they go to the mall. Maybe talk to them separately rather than with the whole group. That might help them understand you more on a one-on-one level -- and it will totally strengthen your personal relationship with each of the girls. Also, I find it's an awesome thing to join sports teams and club in school because it lets you bond with the other players. It's the best way to make friends!"
