Hey M Girls!
We have a BRAND NEW spin on the daily advice column on mmm-mag.com. Each day at 8:00 PM/EST we'll post a reader question and have our M Girl answer it!! Today, we're talking friends acting differently at school!!
M Reader beiberfever98 asked:
My best friend is really popular at school but none of the other kids notice me, even though I'm her BFF. The problem is, whenever the other kids want to talk to her or hang out with her, they take her away from me! I'm so upset that she's my best friend at home but then at school, she totally ignores me! Do you have any advice?
And M Girl's answer is:
"Your friend needs to know that she's hurting your feelings. Sometimes, it's hard for someone to realize what they're doing to you because they view the situation differently. It's important to talk things out whenever you feel upset about the way someone is acting. If she's your true friend, then she'll want to change her ways and be aware of how differently she's acting in school than at home. If she doesn't want to change, then she doesn't deserve you as the awesome friend you are! There will be people who may disappoint you in your life. The most important thing is that you stand up for yourself and believe in what you think is right! Once you do that, the right BFFs will follow!"
