Hey M Girls!

M Reader heyheyrayray21 wrote: "I haven't been getting along with my mom recently. It's always about the most ridiculous things too. For instance, when I want to go hang out with my friends she says, "No! You need to clean your room and then do your homework!" I tell her I will once I come back but then we just start to yell and yell. Do you have any advice on what I can/should do?"
And M Girl's answer is: "During the preteen/teen years is usually when most kids fight with their parents the most. You are at a point in your life where you think you know what is best for you but your parents think they know what is best for you. I would suggest listening to your mom because believe it or not, she was your age once. She just wants what's best for you and wants to male sure that you are on the right track. Try keeping your room clean and doing your homework right after school, that way you can hang out with your friends and your mom won't have any reason to say no. Her requests aren't that unreasonable, she just wants to make sure that you do well in school! There is plenty of time to hang out with your friends and get your homework done and clean your room. Good luck!"
