Hey M Girls!
We have a BRAND NEW spin on the daily advice column on mmm-mag.com. Each day at 8:00 PM/EST we'll post a reader question and have our M Girl answer it!! Today, we're talking about getting your heart broken.
M Reader Strawberyskittles wrote: "The last time I was in a relationship I was left heartbroken for almost a year. I still have crushes and people that like me back but I am so afraid to put my whole heart into it again - or any amount of my heart. I just don't want to be hurt so badly again. Am I being too guarded?"
And M Girl's answer is: "Sometimes when you get your heart broken it feels like things will never get better, but they will! It might be hard to open your heart again and that's okay. Give yourself time. Just because one guy broke your heart doesn't mean every guy will. As you go through life you are probably going to get your heart broken a million times. You have to grow from the experience and try your best to move on and learn to love again. Don't be afraid to let someone else in. After getting your heart broken, it's okay to be a little more guarded, but you shouldn't close yourself off to love completely. Getting your heart broken is a part of life and a part of growing up. It's not fun but you'll get through it. You don't want to miss out on a good opportunity for love because you were too guarded. Good luck!"
