Hey M Girls!
We have a BRAND NEW spin on the daily advice column on mmm-mag.com. Each day at 8:00 PM/EST we'll post a reader question and have our M Girl answer it!! Today, we're talking about talking to our parents.
M reader Dixee, 13 wrote:
"My dream is to be a model and my parents say I'm too fat and short. I weight 150lbs. and I'm 4'9. Please help me."
And M Girl's answer is:
"Having your parents call you fat sounds harsh. Sit down and have a talk with them about how that makes you feel. Explain why you want to pursue modeling and ask for their support. They might not realize how much it means to you until you speak up. In the mean time focus on school and staying healthy. You're still young, and modeling will always be around and available for you to pursue. As you get older if it's something you still feel strongly about then go for it. Good luck!"
