"I'm confused. I have a friend who has been my friend for four years now and I feel like we're drifting apart. We live close to each other and walk home together but these days she's been avoiding me and making up excuses to avoid walking home with me. We're both on the basketball team and I usually hope that we can walk home together but the more I ask the more excuses I get. What should I do? I've tried talking to her, but she doesn't listen to me one bit. I'm super lost. I want be close again."
And M Girl's answer is:
"It's natural for friends to sometimes drift apart as they get older. Don't give up on your friendship. She might be going through some things at home that she doesn't feel comfortable sharing. Give her some space but let her know that you care and will always be there for her. Good luck!"
