Hey M Girls!
We have a BRAND NEW spin on the daily advice column on mmm-mag.com. Each day at 8:00 PM/EST we'll post a reader question and have our M Girl answer it!! Today, we're talking about change.
M reader kiwi_bieber wrote: "I used to like acting like a tomboy, but I've grown out of it; I want to be mature and girly. I told my friends, but they just laughed and started talking about something else. Whenever I dress up or do something to my hair my parents make fun of me because they think I'm trying to impress a boy, which I'm not. What do i do?"
And M Girl's answer is: "You should be proud of yourself that you've accepted the fact that you want to change and aren't trying to fight it! Everyone goes through stages in their lives, and people should be accepting of changes that may occur. Since it might be hard for your friends to take such a dramatic difference seriously, suggest going shopping with them or have a spa night at your house. As for your parents, tell them that you are experimenting with different styles not to impress a boy but to discover the real you! Good luck!!"
