Hey M Girls!
We have a BRAND NEW spin on the daily advice column on mmm-mag.com. Each day at 8:00 PM/EST we'll post a reader question and have our M Girl answer it!! Today, we're talking about dealing with bullying!!!
M Reader Punk_Kitty15: "I need help! There's a group of cute guys at my school who won't stop teasing my BFF and myself. They're always joking around when it comes to my friend, because she's the pretty blonde with blue eyes. But when it comes to me, they insult me! I try ignoring them or telling them to go away, but they always bring me to the verge of tears! My BFF always tells me to not let their comments bug me, but somehow they just get under my skin.
What should I do about them? I don't want to suffer another year!"
And M Girl's answer is:
"Bullying is mean and horrible to deal with, so don't feel bad about letting it get under your skin. You are also at one of the worst times for bullying, so it won't be as bad in the future. When ignoring the bullies does not work, stand up for yourself. Tell them to stop, and tell them that they are hurting you. It is difficult to stand up to bullies, but they are likely to stop if they know that they are actually hurting you. If this does not work, talk to a school counselor. You do not deserve to be abused. Good luck!"
