Hey M Girls!
We have a BRAND NEW spin on the daily advice column on mmm-mag.com. Each day at 8:00 PM/EST we'll post a reader question and have our M Girl answer it!! Today, we're talking about inviting people to your party!
M Reader edougl3 wrote: "My birthday is coming up and I'm going to be having a party. There's this girl at my school who thinks that I'm her best friend but I don't really like her. I don't want to invite her to my party but I really don't want to hurt her feelings. What should I do?"
And M Girl's answer is: "Nobody likes to hurt peoples feelings, but it isn't really nice to pretend to be friends with someone, especially if you don't like her. You should try to avoid doing this in the future. You can still be nice to people you don't like, but try not to be best friends with them! Then situations like this won't happen. For now, you can do one of two things. You can suck it up and invite her to your party so you don't feel bad, or you can tell her the truth that you don't really like her. You will probably hurt her feelings in the end either way, unless you want to pretend to be friends with her forever. This is a tough one but try to let her down easy. Good luck!"
