Hey M Girls!
We have a BRAND NEW spin on the daily advice column on mmm-mag.com. Each day at 8:00 PM/EST we'll post a reader question and have our M Girl answer it!! Today, we're talking about dealing with mean girls!
M Reader torirules wrote: "I have some mean girls at school. All they do is pick on me. They call me stuff like geek and loser. They make me feel like I am all of those things. I dread going to school in the mornings. I feel like they are better than me in everything: fashion, singing, and everything. I really need help"
And M Girl's answer is: "Don't let anyone make you feel bad about yourself. Everyone is different. Everyone is good at different things. Girls who feel like they need to put down other people are usually just really insecure. Be the bigger person and don't let it get to you. You are better than them just based on the fact that you aren't a mean girl. Just remember, things will get better! Always keep your head up and don't let anyone put you down ever. Go to a teacher, counselor, parent, or an adult you can trust and talk to them about these girls so they can take the right course of action to discipline them. Just always remember that you will go on to do bigger and better things then being the 'mean girl.' You'll get through this. Good luck!"
