Fans of the Divergent Series still don't know what to make of the news that the final film in the franchise, Ascendant will most likely not be released in theaters, but will instead air on TV in hopes of it eventually turned into a television series. Shailene Woodley said at Comic-Con she has no idea what the plans are and now one of her co-stars, Miles Teller is not only echoing what she said, but added that he's unsure he would come back to portray his role as Peter.
"I’ve talked to nobody. I found out 20 minutes before Variety printed it," Miles said about the decision to make a TV movie out of the final installment. "When we all signed on for the first one we had every intention of finishing it theatrically. We signed on for x amount of movies and you take that all into consideration. We wanted to see that storyline finish. You know, it’s moving into a different format. So who knows? We all really enjoyed that time we spent together and those characters."
Yikes, so it looks like Miles doesn't really want to make a TV movie, since when he signed on for this role, he was under the impression that every film would be theatrically released. It makes total sense, but it would be a bummer if fans don't get to see Peter's storyline wrap up the proper way.
