For Boy Meets World and Girl Meets World fans, you know just how legendary the one and only Mr. Feeny is. The character was such a force in BMW, since he was Cory, Shawn, Topanga and Eric's teacher for so many years.
William Daniels, the actor who brought this iconic character to life, reprised his role in GMW too and he just recently turned 90 years old. A literal legend among us! He sat down for an interview with Buzzfeed and shared some major secrets, specifically about his relationship with his former co-stars. So does Mr. Feeny still dish out life advice to his former students? Well, kind of. He basically admitted that it was his role on GMW that reunited him and Ben Savage, Cory Matthews himself.
"Well, you know what happens in these theatrical affairs is that you live together very closely, whether it's on stage or in film, and then when it's over, everybody goes. They go to their own lives and they go to their own projects," William explained. "They’re all grown up now. Ben Savage, I saw him because of Girl Meets World. Here that boy, that little Ben, comes driving up in a big truck and here comes this young man out, who I hadn’t seen for so long. But that's the way it goes, you know? It was lovely. He’s a great, great young man. I saw Danielle [Fishel] just the other day. She comes in with this big hat and everything, and I look under it and said, 'Is that you Danielle?' It was great seeing her — she’s a lovely, lovely lady."
OK, so let's just appreciate the fact that William had the sweetest things to say about his former co-stars, who he basically watched grown up all those years they worked together. Although he doesn't see them often, it looks like GMW brought them all back together, and that is truly magical. The spinoff series only lasted three seasons on Disney Channel, while it's predecessor had seven seasons. Since the network canceled the series, fans — along with both of the shows' creator, Michael Jacobs — have been fighting to get the show picked up at another network. Clearly GMW has meant a lot to so many people (just like BMW did and still does) and c'mon, it got Cory Matthews and Mr. Feeny hanging out again! Priceless when you think about it.
