The 2016 MTV Video Music Awards nominations were announced yesterday and noticeably absent from the nominee list is Nick Jonas. The singer has had tons of success as a solo star and is super proud of his cool, edgy video he made for his song "Close" with Tove Lo, so he took to Twitter to let everyone know that he was simply bummed over the snub.
Disappointed with the fact Close got no love for the #VMAs2016— Nick Jonas (@nickjonas) July 26, 2016
But then the "Chains" singer had a change of heart, and realized that he has plenty to be thankful for.
Actually after thinking about it more there are so many amazing things happening in my life and career. 9 out of 10 boxes are checked...— Nick Jonas (@nickjonas) July 26, 2016
Won't let this one thing get to me. I'm feeling so inspired and grateful these days. Gonna focus more on caring less about the small stuff.— Nick Jonas (@nickjonas) July 26, 2016
Everything is awesome 😎👊🏼— Nick Jonas (@nickjonas) July 26, 2016
So although Nick was initially not happy with the fact that his video didn't receive any nominations, he quickly got over it and decided it wasn't worth him being upset over. That's the right attitude to have!
