Once upon a time, Bradley Steven Perry and Sabrina Carpenter were a rock-solid couple, but it just wasn't meant to be and they are no longer. Fast forward to Sabrina's upcoming second album EVOLution and fans wondering if she'll be spilling all about what went down between Brabrina. It doesn't seem like that's going to be the overall theme of the album though, but there is one song that fans have: "Smoke and Fire". She wrote, recorded and released this tune separately from the rest of the album, and this is the song she pretty much confirmed is about the breakup.
But now, thanks to fans with some keen eyes and ears, there's an even more obvious connection this song has with Bradley and it all comes down to a scene from his show, Mighty Med. In an episode, Bradley's character Kaz is having a conversation with Jake Short's character Oliver, and they mention how Kaz stared a rumor that took off like wildfire.
And in Sabrina's song, there's the lyric, "Rumors spread like wildfire."
CAN WE JUST TAKE A MOMENT.
OK, now, let's look at the timeline of how this all played out. The episode in which these scene took place called "It's a Matter of Principal" aired in July of 2015. That was the summer when fans started to speculate that Brabina was dunzo and in February of 2016, "Smoke and Fire" debuted. So, was Sabrina inspired by this line on the show? Was this her way of indirectly letting fans know that this song was indeed about him? Or is it all just merely a coincidence? We might not ever get a clear-cut answer, but this is still a pretty spectacular discovery!
