Sabrina Carpenter's latest single "Smoke and Fire" has been on repeat here at the M offices since it came out and it's definitely unlike anything else the starlet has ever made. It's a more intense sound and the lyrics really just make you feel strong and empowered, making it unlike a typical breakup song, something Sabrina just said is what she aimed for.
"It's a breakup song, but it doesn't make you feel depressed. It actually makes you feel like a boss and it makes you feel like you're a strong confident woman or man, and it can kind of show everybody that you're not alone," she explained.
Leave it to Sabrina to take her own heartache and turn it into something that will help other people! The song is based on everything she experienced from her split with Bradley Steven Perry but if we're learning anything about the Girl Meets World star, it's that she's just getting started when it comes to her world takeover. OK, we're totally kidding, but we know she's going to do some big things.
Watch her full interview below where she delves into how she wrote "Smoke and Fire" and then let us know in the comments what you think about the tune!
