"It's a very specific album, especially because it's a new chapter for me. It's under a new label and it's the first time I'm stepping in and really getting behind every person I'm working with," she gushed.
"I feel that way when I'm on set, and I'm working with people that are challenging me intellectually, emotionally, and physically. And with music... I feel so free," she continued.
But that's not all the "Good For You" singer is dishing. Apparently, Revival is just that, a revival, which means it's a completely new chapter in her life. That chapter? Selena wants it to be clear that chapter no longer includes her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber.
She said, "I'll forever support [Justin] and love him in a way that... [W]e grew up together. I respect him. And I think he respects me, in a healthy manner."
But though Jelena will forever have mutual respect for one another, it's clear that relationship is a thing of the past.
"Finding somebody is not my main focus. I've dated people. I've been on a few dates, which is really exciting. But I've never wanted to get into anything serious because I kind of did that."
"I have my guard up," she continued. "I like to meet people in organic settings. Hanging out with a group of people and meeting through mutual people."
Getting over a traumatizing breakup is never easy but we're happy to hear that Sel is taking it day by day and easing herself back into the dating game. Who knows? We might even get some really awesome autobiographical songs out of Selena's new album, too!
