Sneak peek at the new Olympic medals for the 2010 Winter Games!


Hey M Girls!

We're only a couple of months away from the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, and the M staff is getting totally excited! So when we heard that the gold, silver and bronze medals got a total makeover for the games, we had to share the new look with you!

According to, the medals are the heaviest medals EVER in Olympic history and are made out of recycled ewaste, like used TVs, computers, and keyboards! And are you curious about the wavy design? Well, the waves were inspired by Vancouver's landscape -- cool!

The games kick off Feb. 12, but the next couple of months are jam-packed with trying to narrow down who will you be representing our country and be medal contenders. Psst - like on Jan. 23, when at the nationals, two female skaters will be chosen to compete at the Olympics -- you can bet that M Editors Sarah and Brittany will be watching!
