The High School Musical movies forever a hold special place in so many people's hearts, and that of course includes the cast. Most of the stars are all still the best of friends to this day, more than a decade after the first movie ever aired on Disney Channel. Vanessa Hudgens just recently opened up to The Huffington Post's weekly newsletter The Tea, where she dished all about her best HSM memories. Gabriella Montez is forever a part of her and she doesn't mind in the slightest.
"Flying around with the cast of High School Musical in a private jet," she answered about her all-time favorite memory form her teenage years. "We were doing a press tour and it was so much fun. Ashley [Tisdale] and I were such girls, giggling and dancing around this jet. We thought we were ballers!"
Not every teen gets to hang out in a private jet with their friends, so it's totally understandable why this is a stand-out moment in V's life. She went on to say that the ending of the series is actually the HSM moment that means the most to her.
"It was from High School Musical 3: Senior Year. It was the last moment of the movie where we were all at graduation. We turn around and lift our hands up and the curtain closes. It was just so symbolic. We were all so emotional and we couldn’t stop hugging each other. It was just such a beautiful moment," she said.
OK, going to need to grab some tissues while we re-watch HSM 3 (or all the movies tbh) again. While Vanessa has no problem talking about her Disney Channel days, there is one big part of her time in HSM that is a bit awkward to bring up: Zac Efron. The Troy to her Gabriella. The pair dated in real life for five years, but eventually split. She's been happily dating Austin Butler since 2011. Not too long ago, the Powerless actress was asked if she still keeps in contact with Zac like she does with other HSM stars and she admitted that no, the former couple hasn't spoken to each other in a long time. But when she was asked who her celebrity crush was when she was a teenager, the now 28-year-old had no problem confessing that it was totally Zac.
"Probably my boyfriend at the time. So Zac Efron!" she revealed.
Girl, same was our first reaction. But it's kind of amazing that she admitted this since Zac is her ex-boyfriend and all. This simply proves that there must not be any hard feelings between Zanessa after all. What at time. Oh, and as for the best song from all three musical movies? For Vanessa, it's a tie between two classic tunes.
"'We’re All In This Together' or 'Breaking Free,'" she said.
Wonder if she can still whip out all the choreography?
