Looking for another Netflix series to binge watch that's a little more light-hearted? Well, allow Spirit Riding Free to fill that void. Today, the new animated Netflix original series from DreamWorks, inspired by the Oscar-nominated fave, Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron has hit the streaming site and we a first look at all the fun and adventure.
The show "follows the heartfelt journey of a gutsy 12-year-old girl named Lucky who befriends a wild mustang whom she aptly names Spirit. With her two best friends (and their horses) by her side, they'll push their own limits, harness the power of friendship and discover what it truly means to be free," according to the show's official description. And you might recognize some of the voices of these fierce characters. Amber Frank from The Haunted Hathaways is Lucky, Sydney Park from Instant Mom is Pru, Bailey Gambertoglio from Bubble Guppies is Abigail, and Darcy Rose Byrnes Sofia the First is as Maricela.
In the clip, we see Lucky finding out her father's company is actually blowing up a canyon that Pru and Abigail are in hanging out in. She of course goes to warn and save her friends from the danger approaching, but they seriously need to hurry. Basically it will leave on the edge of your seat to see if they can all make it out before things get wild!
