If you are a fan of Every Witch Way, get ready to fall in love with Nickelodeon's newest live action show that combines teens and magic. Talia In the Kitchen follows Talia Parra, a 14-year-old girl (played by Maria Quezada), as she discovers that she can cook just what each customer needs, thanks to some magical spices.
Talia discovers her passion for cooking after moving to Miami with her eccentric grandmother and her brainy little sister, Julie. With the help of her friends and her late father's magical spices, Talia tries to revive the family's restaurant business with food that literally stirs peoples' emotions. However, she must overcome competition from a local eatery owned by the rival Fuccinelli family.
Only M has your EXCLUSIVE sneak peek from the one-month-long series' premiere episode. In the ep, entitled "And Spice Makes Nice," Talia arrives in Miami and discovers her father's spice collection hidden in the walls of her family's restaurant, Lola's.
M chatted with Joshua Hoffman, who plays Rudy Rosales on the show, and he dished all about what it's like working with the cast, filming in Miami, and his on-screen character! (Random fun fact: Joshua also appeared in an episode of Girl Meets World!)
"The cast of Talia in the Kitchen is awesome," Rudy gushes. "We are all such good friends and there are some crazy scenes in the show I can't wait for you to see!"
So far all we know about Joshua's character is that he's really into music and surfing, kind of like Joshua is IRL!
"I can't wait to bring my love for music into the character of Rudy," he admits. "Rudy is a laid back guy who loves the beach, plays his music, and really cares for Talia."
Speaking of surfing the waves, Joshua says it has been a total blast filming in Florida.
"It's cool bringing some California vibe to Miami," he says.
