There was no chill to be had when Disney Channel aired the very first teaser for Rowan Blanchard and Paris Berelc's new original movie Invisible Sister. Not gonna lie, we may have shed a tear. Was it sad? No, of course not, but just — Rowan's first DCOM — and you know, ALL THE EMOTIONS.
Tears set aside, everyone and their mother is BEYOND excited for Invisible Sister. Not only do Rowan and Paris star in it, but Rachel Crow, Karan Brar, and more of your favorite celebrities are involved!
When M chatted with one of the movie's stars Austin Fryberger — who plays The Coug — he dished all about his co-stars, what it was like filming in Louisiana, and more!
"This was actually the first project that I was on location outside of LA so that was really cool because I got to spend a good almost two months just on set [in New Orleans]," Austin EXCLUSIVELY dished.
Being on location in New Orleans sounds pretty awesome, but it wasn't even the coolest part. After all, Austin acted alongside some pretty big names in the industry.
"Karan Brar is super funny," Austin continues. "I was always a huge fan of his so that was kind of the first project where like I was with these big shots, I [had to] be on my game. I was a little bit starstruck but it all worked out."
Wow — we can't believe that Austin was starstruck by Karan when he first stepped foot on set! We bet as soon as Karan started cracking jokes, the ice was broken!
"Karan is on top of things. Like comedy, that's his thing. He is super funny and literally non-stop had me laughing," he dishes. "It was great."
Sounds like Austin really hit it off with Karan, who also stars on the Jessie spinoff series BUNK'D. So how did he feel working with the rest of the star-studded cast?
"Rowan [is] the sweetest little thing you'll ever meet. She's super, super talented," Austin gushes. "Most of the time I was hanging out with her she's just jamming [to] 70s rock, like classic music or classical music. Her whole style is just completely different than a lot of people especially for a 13 year old. I was amazed and she's just really, really cool."
AWW, Austin can't say enough sweet things about the Girl Meets World star. And get this: He even revealed which cast member was the resident musician on set. (After all, we already know that Karan was the go-to comedian!)
"Rachel — she, wow, has an incredible voice. We went to this preservation hall because Disney you know they had a special dinner and so they hired a piano player. He's just playing while we all kind of lounging waiting for dinner and while he's playing, he starts playing 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow' and she just starts singing [along] and it was incredible. She has a very unique voice. It's incredible and I loved it. She's such a sweetheart."
If the whole cast has remained friends since filming, then that means there's only one person left for Austin to gush about: Mighty Med star Paris Berelc!
"With Paris," Austin adds, "she's also one of the chillest people you'll ever hang out with, super friendly, super nice, super kind, she was great to work with."
Sounds like the filming experience couldn't have gone any better! After all, they made what's sure to be an amazing movie and they even walked away from it as friends. <3
"It was very fun," Austin says.
And Karan, Karan is just like, he’s just on top of things. Like comedy, that’s his thing. He is super funny and literally non-stop had me laughing it was great.
