The live-action adaption of the classic Disney movie Beauty and the Beast is still slaying at the box office, nearly two months after it's release. The film has surpassed the $1 billion mark, which is seriously impressive, and of course, everyone wants to know if there is more to the tale as old as time.
The movie ends with Belle breaking the curse the enchantress Agathe put on the Beast's castle and the Beast, along with those who worked in his castle, all transform back in humans. So what exactly would go on in the second movie? Well, the stars of the blockbuster movie have some ideas.
Dan Stevens, who played the Beast, revealed that he would be down for another installment, if the opportunity came up.
"That's not a question for me. I'm not sure what turn that would take. I'm open to offers. It would seem odd for me to hear about it, but never say never," Dan said in an interview with Variety.
As to whether Dan is ready to play a human prince this time around, well he's kind of not into the idea, although he is back to his human form at the end of the movie.
"I'd kind of like to bring the Beast back," he added.
OK, so Dan would be willing to make another movie, despite the fact that he would want to return to being a beast again. That's already inspiring some plot ideas! But you can't have BATB without Belle and now, Emma Watson just admitted she would be all about this sequel too.
While she was on the red carpet at the premiere of her new movie The Circle, she told Access Hollywood she hasn't heard all the fan buzz surrounding the demand for a follow-up movie, but she's happy to hear people would want to see more. She already has a plot in mind too, at least for her character.
"I would love to do a sequel. I always thought Belle would become a teacher and she run the library in the castle and open it up to the village," Emma said.
How perfect is that? And FYI, Emma legit lit up like a Christmas tree when she said she would "love" to do another movie. Proof in this GIF:
She still really can't even fully wrap her head around the mega-success of the film either.
"I hoped that the movie would do well, but this has been insane, completely beyond all of my wildest dreams and expectations. I'm so so grateful," Emma added.
So humble and gracious. She really is the most perfect Belle.
