Any Disney movie fan knows part of the fun watching all of these classic flicks is spotting the hidden Easter Eggs throughout them and uncovering more proof that all of the films are somehow connected. There are tons of Disney theories out there but the most popular one has to be the fact that essentially all of the movies and characters not only exist in the same universe, but are directly connected with each other. Two movies that have helped solidify some proof to this theory is Tangled and Frozen.
The popular theory — that keep in mind has never actually been confirmed by anyone at Disney — is that the reason why Rapunzel and Eugene (A.K.A Flynn Rider) attended Elsa's coronation because Anna and Elsa's parents ship wrecked when they were on their way to Rapunzel and Eugene's wedding. Here's the scene when you can see Rapunzel and Eugene walking into Elsa and Anna's castle:
WE KNOW, CRAZY STUFF.
So when it came down to getting to the bottom of this Easter Egg, TVLine went straight to Rapunzel herself to get the truth. That's right, when they were catching up with Mandy Moore, they asked her about this popular fan theory and well, she didn't even know about it! But when it was explained to her, she basically wasn't having it.
"That's a pretty morbid fan theory. It feels like someone is really reaching into Lost territory," Mandy joked. "There is no connection as far as I know, but I don't think there is any connection. But sure, people can imagine what they will all day."
So there you have it, straight from Rapunzel. She doesn't think there is any major, deep-rooted connection between Tangled and Frozen and the appearance of her character and Eugene in Frozen was just a fun Easter Egg, with no deeper meaning. So there we have it. But these theories are simply too much to let go completely, so we'll just keep digging up the best ones. It's hard to break a habit!
