Don't Forget Where You Belong: Fans Ask Niall Horan to Play a One Direction Song, So He Did Proving Dreams Can Come True

Niall Horan has been using his time during this One Direction hiatus to give the world, well a little but more Niall. So far, he's released two solo songs and has of course done performances in support of these tunes, along with a ton of interviews. So when they all combine into one experience, you've basically hit the jackpot. Enter The Today Show, where Niall gave the lucky people of New York City a little show, singing his jams "This Town," "Slow Hands" and "On the Loose" and of course, the crowd just had to ask him to sing a 1D song.

See, when Harry Styles made his big solo debut on The Today Show, he brought out a cover of "Stockholm Syndrome" which legit made everyone go wild. And since then, he's incorporated it into his sets at his shows, proving that his One Direction days are in his heart forever. But when it came time for Niall, he simply admitted to all the fans that he didn't come prepare to play and of the band's songs. Being the gem that he is, he instantly reacted though and decided to whip out "Best Song Ever."

While Niall didn't sing along, instead allowing the Directioners in attendance to take the reigns vocally, he proudly strummed along to the tune and that big smile he let out at the end says it all. It is one of the group's most fun songs after all. Who can forget that legendary music video?!

Naturally, fans pretty much freaked out over Niall taking this trip down memory lane.

It's a moment that will forever be cherished. Niall has been open about embracing his past with the band and he even told Billboard in an interview that 1D forever comes first in his heart.

"I told my managers from the start: When One Direction comes knocking, [forget]what I’m doing. I don’t give a [crap] if I sold out arenas or won Grammys. I wouldn’t be doing this if it wasn’t for that," he said.

An angel that Niall is. Truly.
