Tons of stars gathered in New York City last night for Freeform's 2017 Upfront, and Olivia Holt arrived in serious style to promote her new action-adventure series that is premiering on the network in early 2018. In fact, the trailer for Marvel's Cloak and Dagger is finally here, and we honestly could not be more excited for the show to air.
We caught up with both the leading lady and her best friend Jordan Fisher, and they each expressed excitement for a possible guest-starring role from Jordan.
"I’m such a comic geek. Cloak and Dagger, are you kidding? It’s like one of my favorite love stories ever. It’s how somebody like me is born! But no, it’s exciting I’m so happy for her and I absolutely freaked out when I found out. She’s just so talented so hard working," the Grease: Live and Liv and Maddie star exclusively spilled to M.
So sweet! It comes to no surprise that Olivia's success has Jordan completely over the moon. After all, they've been friends since they were little kids.
"With guest starring, we’ll figure it out. Maybe Miles Morales, he’s the ethnic Spider-Man if you don’t know, makes a little appearance in Cloak & Dagger, I don’t know that would be cool," Jordan continued. "We let it come together organically. A lot of these things take time and I’m at a place in my life and my career and my friends and I are developing things together, TV series, films, clothing lines, all that stuff. It’s passed the dreaming [phase]. Like me and Olivia, being 10,13 years old and talking about how we dreamed of working on something together and now that those things have happened, we’re like what can else can we do? What can we build together?"
So how does Olivia feel about Jordan making an appearance on her show? She told M she'd be all about it.
"I'll put in a word, I guess," the Kickin' It actress told us. "Honestly, Jordan's so talented – he could do whatever he wanted. I'm really not quite sure what exactly that role would be, but it would be fun to work with him for sure."
We're keeping our fingers crossed. It would be so amazing to see these two work together on screen.
