Moving On: Debby Ryan Won't Be Joining Her Fellow Disney Channel Alum On The CW Because Sometimes, Life's Not Fair

Debby Ryan fans have been eagerly waiting for the update about the pilot episode she filmed for the series Insatiable. Would she be graving television screens everywhere again, each week? THE SUSPENSE. The CW had been taking their time deciding whether they were going to pick-up the show for a full season order and the series' fate has finally been revealed. Sadly, Debby's show won't be part of the upcoming fall line-up.

It was announced that the network decided to not proceed with the series, but it is still being shopped around to other networks. The dramedy was set to focus on Debby's character Patty, a girl who was once bullied and after transforming the way she looked, was set on getting revenge. Enter a former lawyer named Bob who was going to serve as her coach, since she would be competing in a beauty pageant. The storyline is unlike Debby has ever done before and it would've been somewhat of a Disney Chanel reunion too.

Debby's former Suite Life On Deck co-star and still to this day BFF Cole Sprouse stars on the hit series Riverdale, which will begin filming it's second season soon, and both Lucy Hale and China McClain's pilots they each starred in, Life Sentence and Black Lightning respectively, were picked up by the network too. It truly would've been so cool to see all of these actors who got their big breaks on Disney Channel move on to this new chapter together.

Debby still has tons of other upcoming projects for fans to look forward too though. She'll be appearing on the upcoming VH1 series, Daytime Divas and she'll be in the movies Rip Tide and Life of the Party. So tons of good things to come for Debby. On to the next adventure.
